Today I've embarked on a new painting journey- will you join me?

I've made a quick video about what this journey is about- essentially it's about being happy to be alive, and doing those things which make you feel that way- and for me that's free painting and creating, most importantly breathing creativity.

Daily painting journey with Ingrid Lee

I'm planning on doing a daily journal by video or just on the blog- depending on time....but it's going to be everyday for 2 weeks.  I was inspired by a photo posted on the facebook fan page Find One Thing, created by Mindset Mentor and Gratitude Coach, Jina Allen.  Find One Thing is about finding at least one thing each day that you are thankful for and sharing it.  If you need a gratitude boost, swing by the page and be reminded of things in your life you can be thankful for.

Day one

As my new year started, a lot of past journeys had come to an end, and resolved, or sparked new ones for painting, my business and general outlook on my life, but there was something missing.  This was the quote which inspired this journey from Find One Thing:

Please watch this video to see the inspiration, materials and stages of my paintings- yes I finished two of them today.  Each day I will be making the time to paint or draw, some days, as I mention in the video, I will have more time, others not so much...but I will commit to creating something, and share it here on the blog.

By the way, I am trialing a new video editor on my phone, so some of the pics are a little small, tomorrow's video will be different.

The final paintings for Day 1:

Daily painting journey by Ingrid Lee

Remember, this painting journey is not about creating a work of art, it's about enjoying the process, allowing creativity to flow, not focusing on any one idea of thing, just being happy that I'm making the time and space for breathing creativity and being alive.

Here is an excerpt from the painting I was telling you about in the video- where I used graphite pencil, inks and acrylics

If you were inspired by today's post, please leave your comments here on the blog...AND if you decide to join, please message me on facebook with your creativity so that I can add it to my blog and fan page- we'd all love to share creating together- don't be shy!!! We all learn something from each other at all stages of creativity, if we can't be a beginner we can't see with new eyes and create new things.

Share this post if you think your friends are interested in seeing it, I'd appreciate it.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow- are you?  See you soon 🙂
