Pansies and Roses Ribbon Embroidery, Ingrid Lee
This is the last of my embroidery experiments, Pansies and Roses in silk ribbons. I hand painted the background for this artwork, and using inspiration from my rose bed, where I grow roses, pansies, violets, herbs and so on…I’ve developed the style of rose I am pretty happy with, and had an opportunity to play with the new silk ribbons I bought from Needlework DeLuxe in St Petersburg. These ribbons are pre dyed, I did not paint the ribbons, only the darker lines on the pansy faces…..now I am ready to start my “masterpieces”
.

Wonderful……….This is perfect!
Thankyou Yana for your kind words
Ингрид ,вышивка восхитительна .Очень красивые розы и анютины глазки.
Валентина … Вы вдохновили меня и моих мечтах вышивки оживают! Рад Вам нравится моя работа, ты замечательный учитель xx
Ingrid, this is beautiful. It inspires me to do a little ribbonwork myself. Several years ago, I purchased a book by Helen Gibb… Ribbonwork, The Complete Guide. I loved doing the roses, but didn’t spend much time on other flowers. I just love your little pansies. Can’t wait to see your “masterpieces”!
Thanks Marilyn for your kind words….I love Helen’s work, especially with the french wire ribbons. I’m growing pansies at the moment, and the ribbons I bought from the shop in St Petersburg were designed for pansies and violas…do try some new flowers
That looks amazing Ingrid!! Keep up the beautiful work!!

dear Ingrid why do you say this is your last experiment with ribbon? Please continue with your lovely work.
Thanks diana…what i mean is that I have done two embroideries to experiment with different techniques, so that now I can decide on which technique I will use for my larger composition…do not worry I have fallen in love with ribbon embroidery!!! It is very relaxing for me…..my new works will be started soon
THanks for visiting my site! xx Ingrid
